Planning & Timelines

How far in advance should we book?

Small upgrades can often be scheduled within one to two weeks. Larger construction projects are booked 3–6 weeks out so we can align with GC and inspection milestones. Once your phone lines are ready to be ported, the existing carrier can take up to 10 days to release your numbers.

Do you provide drawings and documentation?

Prior to starting the job we can provide a visual heat map of the business. Any drawings or documentation are available by request.

Can you work after hours?

Absolutely. We frequently schedule overnight or weekend work to avoid disrupting clinics, resorts, or manufacturing lines. After-hours windows are available and outlined during planning.

Do you handle permits and coordination?

We coordinate low-voltage permits, fire stopping, and elevator access as needed. When a GC is involved, we join site meetings to stay aligned.

Structured Cabling & Wi‑Fi

How do you design Wi‑Fi coverage?

We combine predictive heatmaps with onsite validation. Controller tuning, channel planning, and guest/staff segmentation are part of every deployment.

Can you tidy our existing racks?

Rack reorganizations are part of many projects. We stage new patch panels, swing gates, and cable management to transform legacy racks with minimal downtime.

Security & Access Control

What camera platforms do you deploy?

We use Hikvision, HiLook, and Ubiquiti (UniFi Protect). We’ve also worked with existing systems like Avigilon on a case-by-case basis. Sometimes it makes sense to take over an existing system; other times it’s better value to replace it and deploy an NVR with new drives.

Can you integrate cameras with access control?

Yes. We tie door events to camera bookmarks, trigger snapshots, and centralize audit logs so investigations are fast.

Do you support mobile credentials?

Yes. Ubiquiti (UniFi) Door Access offers rich dashboards and supports fobs, cards, and NFC from your smartphone. You can set time-based access (e.g., cleaners after hours). You can also email a QR code for temporary access and control how many times and when it can be used.

VoIP & Collaboration

Will you handle number porting?

We manage the full porting process with national and regional carriers. We also provide fallbacks and communication templates for cutover day.

Which platforms do you support?

We build on a Canadian carrier backbone with Polycom, Yealink, and Grandstream handsets, plus softphones and paging integrations.

What does a telecom assessment include?

A conversation about what you need and how your current services are structured. We review your setup, confirm requirements, and map the next steps for a migration if it makes sense.

Support & Warranties

Do you offer maintenance plans?

We provide support options for clients who need scheduled inspections, remote monitoring, or on-call response. Many customers also engage us ad-hoc when MACs arise. We align on the right level of coverage and adjust as your needs change.

What warranties apply?

Manufacturer warranties apply to hardware. Our workmanship warranty is detailed in your project scope and covers installation defects. We’re always a phone call away if anything needs attention. You can always call for a technician and speak with someone local to the Okanagan.
